Joe Finnigan has been serving alongside the Facilities Operations team since November 2018 when UCF acquired the Sanford Burnham facility and incorporated it into the College of Medicine campus at Lake Nona. Joe came to Florida from Boston where he graduated from Boston University and had a successful career in commercial real estate as both a facility manager and a construction project manager.

As part of his current role, Joe is Director of Facilities at the renamed Lake Nona Cancer Center and will also support the Facilities Operations Department’s initiatives at both the College of Medicine and the Burnett School of Biomedical Research facilities. He has over two decades of experience managing medical research facilities in both Orlando and Boston and has managed over $100M, of both new construction and renovations, in his earlier project management career at two commercial real estate firms and with a general contractor. When he’s not at work, Joe enjoys golf, biking and workouts at the gym.

He’s a proud Knight who brings his knowledge and experience to UCF as it continues to grow and expand its’ legacy in Central Florida.
