Our primary responsibilities include landscape planning, design and installation, and landscape operations and maintenance to create an inviting outdoor environment for our campus community.

What We Do:

  • Maintenance of university grounds and hardscape (excluding sports turf)
  • Tree care
  • Irrigation scheduling and maintenance
  • Landscape for Partnership buildings in Research Park, the Rosen College of Hospitality Management, the College of Medicine campus, the Downtown Campus, and several auxiliary units. 
Our Partners

Planning, Design, and Construction

  • Support planning, design, and construction for all new building projects that include landscape and irrigation.
  • Ensure project specifications meet UCF standards from the planning phase through final inspection.

UCF Arboretum

  • Collaborate with Arboretum programs, including land management and urban forestry
  • Help transform campus into a living laboratory that promotes
    • Research and education
    • Experiential, hands-on learning
    • Deeper human connections with the natural world
Landscape Operations By the Numbers:
  • Mows approximately 300 acres on a weekly basis during the growing season 
  • Provides water to approximately 250 acres of irrigated landscape via seven irrigation wells 
  • Uses 95% estimated reclaimed water to irrigate landscape, reducing our dependence for potable water
