Meet John

John Siler has been serving alongside the Facilities & Safety team at UCF since September 2009 and alongside the Facilities Operations team since January 2018. Originally from the Central Florida area, John graduated from UCF in 1999 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

As part of his current role, John leads the UCF Facilities Operations HVAC team providing air conditioning service and support for campus. Before joining the F&S team at UCF, John worked as a mechanical design engineer at the consulting engineering firm Sunbelt Engineering, Inc. in Jacksonville and later as the Space Shuttle Launch Pad 39A HVAC system engineer with United Space Alliance at Kennedy Space Center, FL. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. When he’s not at work, John enjoys music, swimming, boating, and water sports with family and friends.

He is a proud Knight who brings determination, dependability, and diligence to work every day.
